The Ultra Sonic equipment is used to detect air loss, nitrogen and other gas leaks. One example of a successful Ultra Sonics Service by Reliability Concepts with a valued customer, MSU Power Plant detected a critical issue. By placing an ultrasonic sound emitter inside the turbine, we were able to find a hairline crack in the rupture disc. This find saved a critical failure that could have been disastrous.
